Day Six: Your body’s wisdom

Today's meditation is a Body Scan.

In the world renowned Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programs (i.e, the most widely studied and empirically validated mindfulness based interventions in the world with thousands of research trials spanning four decades), the Body Scan meditation is central.

In fact, it is the first meditation that participants learn and are required to practice daily for at least two weeks.

I guess what I'm saying is - this one's important.

It's also really hard for lot of people - they fall asleep or zone out. That's ok! This one's only short so it's not too hard.

Give it a crack and if you find it challenging - remember that self-kindness is where it's at.

Mindfulness is noticing without judgment. So leave your judgement aside, lie down, get comfortable and allow me to talk you through a body scan.
